A good way to keep at any new habits or changes is to create the right environment to support them. In this case, you wish to include more plant-based foods in your diet but not sure where to start? One step forwards is to stock up your cupboards with most of the basics you may need in order to have them at the ready for future recipes, and to not find yourself in a pinch when you are hungry. This is when a shopping list comes in handy to have to ensure that you know what to look for in the shops!
When you first transition towards any new type of diet, it may seem overwhelming and hard to know where to start if you don’t have a bit of a plan in mind. It can also lead to buying some items you may never actually use. Now is the best time to also start thinking about your meals for the week, what do you want for breakfast? Lunch and dinner? This is for you to start building up an ingredient list that you will need during the week. Have a search through recipe books, your favourite blogs or google. Once you do that, get your list at the ready and start filling up your cupboards!
